What’s best way to shine up my 70 Grill

My poor old grill is looking a bit dull. What’s the best way to make it shine again?
I understand there’s a coating on these grills you need to careful with, is that true?
Thanks

Since it would take a little time to explain. The best thing to do is type "polishing grille" into the Google search box at the top of this page, click on the circle in front of "67-72chevytrucks.com" and click on the Google button. There are lots of threads on the subject and different ways of doing it.....

I know spraying tire shine on faded dull plastic does wonders. Have any old parts, or other plastic, to try it on? Like a horn button? How do you clean it. I'd start with a good cleaning. The only coating I know of on a '70 grille is the raised chrome fins. If by chance yours is still visible, you'd have to be careful not to rub it off or use a cleaner that would damage it. Same as a gauge cluster bezel
