Oil Tester

That's what my friends dad liked to call me when I was a teenager.

My question is a simple one and I apologize if it is a dumb one. Does the 250 use the same dipstick as the 292? Or are they different lengths, and/or marked differently.

My 292 didn't come with a factory dipstick, just a strand of metal that when removed would tell you if some oil was in the engine. But I think I have a 250 dipstick around here somewhere.
