Man that sucks.
Maybe buy non matching sheetmetal to get you on the road, until you can find some original paint matching fenders and hood?

That may be an option. I can pick up another daily if need be but I am about to pull the trigger on the LS for the 72 SWB. I just tried to call Kyle at Laidback Recreations yesterday and missed him and this happened last night.

There was a guy jumping in and out of traffic and looked like he going to cause a wreck. I looked over at him to see if he was maybe drunk or something and the guy in front of my stopped abruptly due to traffic/road construction and I nailed him from behind. The guy I hit said he was afraid that idiot was going to hit him but I turned out to be the idiot.

I think since it missed the bumper the frame is fine. The passenger door doesn't want to open because the fender is on it so I hope that is all that is. The driver door is acting a little different as well but open and closes easily. The truck was apparently hit when it was close to new because the front clip wasn't a perfect match but it has a pinstripe that goes down the entire truck that looks like it was done after the repairs. I bet it was hit when fairly new.

I am glad it was lowered because if not I would have hit the bumper and probably jammed everything into the doors.

Re: ISO 71-72 original paint dark olive front clip

I have a nice driver side fender, dark olive for a 70 Chev. Straight, rust free. Still has plenty of factory paint on it. Been inside for 20 years. Pretty sure it has the holes in it for the upper trim. Am in Marlow, OK, relatively close to you.

I will keep that in mind. I am about to go look at this truck and I think the driver fender has a hickey.

I have one but I believe it is the medium olive...not dark olive.

BB72CHEVKT, I have a really nice hood I listed for sale yesterday, but I think it might be the light green instead of the dark green - take a look and let me know.
I don't know what part of TX you live in, but I plan to come to Decatur Texas swap meet the 20 something of February and could bring the hood with me to save on shipping. I would only ask for a little gas money for the trip.
Thanks, Jay (Clatterville trolley)

Did you fix your truck? I’m looking for a original paint drivers fender as my fender has been fixed and painted at some point. woukd like your old fender if you replaced and still happen to have it around.
