Re: 1SIK69 build....

Are you using 2.5 spindles? Do you get any rubbing with the lowers being cut? What drop did u get by cutting the lowers? Nice project!

Re: 1SIK69 build....

Thanks for the compliments. I am learning as I go with the help of some good friends in my truck club. Well today we put a big dent in the truck. We installed the compressors, fuel cell, mounted a few other things and notched the cab for drive shaft clearance. We also repaired that rust hole in the windshield seal. Here are a few pics.

I was told they were 3 inch spindles. Not for sure. I didn't get them new. as far as rubbing with the lowers being cut, not that I know of. I haven't driven it since I started the bag job. I will let you know, but I don't think so. As far as the drop from the lowers, I was told it would lay out on 22's. I have 20's on it and the lowers are laying on the ground.

My buddy Eric took a piece of sheet metal and folded it in half to get the lip. Then he started shaping it in place. Make relieve cuts to get the curve and such and welded it in.

Re: 1SIK69 build....

Here are a few pics. I installed a phantom grille since pics were taken. I just got a set of rally wheels to throw on it til I can get some 20's or 22's. I am gonna install a chrome brake booster and chrome master cylinder soon. Do a tilt hood. Eventually I am gonna Z the frame. More pics to follow

I just got the rallys. I need to paint them and buy some new center caps and rings, and get some new tires too. Then I will get them on.
