Installing POL Coilovers

Fixing to install the coilovers & tubular a-arms form POL on my 69 gmc truck.

The template the sent with the coilovers fits great on the passenger side and the shock hole is cut out the entire coil spring area is removed.

On the drivers side while the template fits, all of the coil spring pocket is not in the opening on the template to cut out. It appears that some of the spring pocket rise will be left and the coilover mount will not set flush.

Before I make any cuts, I am asking is this correct? Hope I'm explaining this clear enough.
