I'd be interested in hearing why folks prefer one year over another. My strong preference is for the '69-70. But that's my preference not everyone's.

Funny you asked that question...

I was actually looking for a 53-55 Chevy truck like my dad had when I stumbled on my 70 cst. It was loaded and for $2300 I couldn't pass it up.

Drivetrain: Built 402BB, TCI Streetfighter 700R4, 2,500 stall, Eaton posi, 3.73. Suspension/Chassis: ECE 4.5/6.5 drop, CPP nitrogen shocks, CPP front and rear sway bar, CPP cross members. Exhaust: 3" exhaust with x-pipe, Spintech 3000 mufflers, Hooker ceramic coated headers. Best 1/4 mile time: TBD.

I'm hoping to try and get it back to stock-ish looking. OEM wheels, take the stickers off from the prev owner, etc. I just finished putting in new carpet, and restoring the console.
