Inline Power Steering Bracket Diagram

I'm installing a 250 in my truck and also adding power steering to it. Does anyone have a diagram of the power steering setup on an inline motor. This is what I got but can't figure out how it bolts on.

This is the bracket shown without a pump. You should have to remove the top alternator bracket you have on your engine now and replace it with the one you got with the new pump

Notice in the link from SSTim, the two damper pulley grooves line up with the water pump pulley grooves like yours.
The GMCguy picture has a damper with wide space between grooves and the outside damper groove lines up with the inside pump groove.
A lot of variables to contend with, but I think all use a double Alt pulley.

I just installed PS on my 250. It's hard to see your smaller bracket, but it should bolt on top of the head between the two front head bolts where there is a hole with no bolt and also bolt to one of the bolts on the top side of the water pump. It will sit over the top of the exhaust manifold and right in front of the intake.

Re: Inline Power Steering Bracket Diagram

Are you sure those are the correct brackets for a non-integrated head? They might be from a later model six cylinder.

Flipped GMC.guy's picture. A lot of difference between that bracket and yours....

Re: Inline Power Steering Bracket Diagram

Those brackets are for an integrated head 250 I believe.

Re: Inline Power Steering Bracket Diagram

Here's what I bought off a board member, about 20 years ago. He thought they were for a 292 -- since they looked "different" -- but they are for a 250 anyway.
Wonder if I could Make them fit. This particular exhaust is the heavy duty manifold with 3 studs not 2 and cooling fins. Fins interfere with bracket. Might fit w/headers, ya know?
Too late for a refund now.

Re: Inline Power Steering Bracket Diagram

I have a complete integrated 250 I'll take a pic tomorrow. Maybe we can compare. I know the upper bracket worked when I pieced it together years ago
