Re: 1 ton 4x4

best bet is a camper/motohome. those are the extended chassis models and 1 ton dually.search here, someone just got one cheap. a bit of work to remove the camper and clean up the rails, and its ready for a bed. might have to fill the back cab wall, but if you can do the rest, that shouldnt be to hard.

Re: 1 ton 4x4

I would buy a 77-91 (88-91 old body style) 4x4 dually to start with. I would buy one with a flatbed already on it then I would put a 67-72 cab and clip on it.

I am working on an '86 myself. It is a regular cab with a shop built flatbed with recessed gooseneck hitch 454 SM465 205 Dana 60 front Dana 70 rear Hydroboost Oil Cooler and on and on. I gave $1800 for it. No way can you buy all these parts separately for that. So get one of these and do a cab swap.

Re: 1 ton 4x4

look through the 4x4 builds. someone built a K-30 dually with a newer 80's frame... looks sharp.
