68 Project Truck

Here is a new project that we will be working on this year. As you can see its a good platform to start a project with. The truck is a 68 Fleetside that has had a full frame off resto within the past couple of years. We will be working with several sponsors on this build and will update regularly. Here are a few pictures of the truck as it sits right now. This truck won best in its class at the 2009 Super Chevy Show in West Palm Beach Florida.

Plans for the truck include.

3 Piece 22" GFG Wheels
Nitto Tires
LS Based Engine and Transmission
Magnaflow Exhaust
AutoMeter Gauges
Air Ride Suspension
Wilwood Disc Brakes
And much much more.

What wheels are you planning on replacing those with? Trucks a beauty, probably one of my new favorites on this site actually.

Re: 68 Project Truck

I saw your post on Pro-touring.com also

Are you going to do any suspension mods on it to make it handle better? I added front and rear swaybars to mine (also on airbags) but have thought about build/buying front control arms to help out the handling a little more. There's doesn't seem to be a lot of "handling" related components for our trucks unless you want to go with a complete aftermarket bolt in type setup. Everything just seems to be about laying frame (which is cool....don't get me wrong).

Re: 68 Project Truck

I am probably going to end up with Air Ride upper and lower control arms, sway bars, and the air ride rear trailing arm kit.

I wont be laying frame just like the aggressive stance and the ride of air ride is super nice too.

Re: 68 Project Truck

What are the lowering specs on the truck? I'm in love with the stance.

Re: 68 Project Truck

Shame to see it being sold, hopefully it'll go to a good owner.
