Well, I figured I would post some pics of my 72 c/10. I acquired this truck about a month ago. I found it on craigslist, and the guy wanted $500 or trade for a riding lawnmower or shotgun. Not knowing much about this (getto looking eye sore), I traveled an hour and a half with my shotguns and $500 in hand. I Arrived there, Got old nelly running and trailered her home, after trading a $300 shotgun for her. I currently am breaking the truck down and getting a feel for how far I am going to take this project. I look forward to hanging out on the site and learning as I go. Feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Yea the gas pedal was what sold me on the thing HAHA J/K! As for the paint, I think Im gunna paint it red but not sure.

i got a gas pedal just like that, use to use it, not just a wall ornament, glad to see the build and you got a great start there

I'm not a pro by any means but I've started with a lot worse than that before, I think you got a good deal their and yeah I like the gas pedel too!

I doesn't look like theirs much rust on the old girl ether.

Thanks all for the feedback. Well today I got the hood stripped and primed. Im not sure if the way i got the old paint of was good but it worked. I used a couple different 4-1/2 inch grinding pads 36/50/80 grit, and stripped it to bare metal. Then primed it up. I will post pics later. Now I have a few places that need filler. Then its one project out of the way.

Cleaned up the instrument panel and nobs. Painted them BC/CC also changed the cool of the inner pan. What do ya all think. Looks alright to me for about 3 dollars and an hour or so. Also got the firewall primed and painted, will get some pics up later.

Well been working on the cab corners and the floor pans. Got most of it done just need to weld a couple more peices of metal. I will post some pics asap.

Well its been a while since I have updated this thread. I have been working alot on the cab and have got the floors patched up and undercoated, (ready for dynamat) I have also put on the new cab corners and fixed up some of the dents. My focus now is to get the cab bondoed up and primed. I have added a couple of pics of the kids helping dad out. It is pretty cool when they want to help. Doesn't last long but its still cool.

Thanks! Yea lots of hours on the floor. I did it the poor mans way and used some scrap metal sheets and made my own floor pan!

Picked up some new parts for my motor, Got a Edelbrock Performer RPM Intake, Holley 4 barrel carb, set of decent used headers, high flow waterpump and a Edelbrock air cleaner for $250. I thought it was a good deal. Cant wait to get the stuff on and get the truck rollin again. My body guy was over this week and got some filler on the dent and ding on the cab. should be ready for primer soon. Then I can roll her out in the driveway and bring the box in the garage. The box needs alot of work but I think we can get it straight with some patience and elbow grease. I had planed on looking for a new box but decided with finances the way they are at the momment I would just salvage the one that came on the truck. I am planning on buying new fenders as the ones I have are really banged up and think it would be almost imposible to get them straight. Anyway just thought i would post alittle update. I will get some pics of the part and cab up later today.
