Project: 1971 Chevy K10 (56K Warning.....65 large pics!!!)
Hey, Just bought a 1971 Chevy K10 truck and started to rip into it today.
Has a lot of missing parts, needs full interior, T-case, front suspension, some rear suspension, the pics below will show in detail the truck as we got it. Heres the initial pics before really ripping into it.

Looks like you have a good start on it - and it also looks like you will have plenty of work to do...(make sure you are current on your tetanus shots) -
 Yes on the new cab - you will be $ and time ahead if you did. |

We are planning on taking the cab and fenders off tonight.. so we can get the frame cleaned up and sand blast it.

        Next up is stripping all axles, suspension, wiring/lines basically everything down to the bare frame to get it blasted and cleaned up. Does everyone agree thats a good starting place?

wow, that is a lot of work ahead of you.. if you want to see how much then look at my build... think 3 years and $8K!!
I would look for a good cab for under $1K or if you are brave enough you can do a full full replacement like mine... That's if the firewall and roof are rust free... It's still a $500 project with the new floor... I'm gonna have this moved into the 4x4 build section... good luck on the build... they snowball

well so far so good.....2 days to go from complete truck minus driveline to bare frame! Total of about 8-9 hrs
