Thumbs down Problem with Mothertruckers

Has anyone had any problems with Mothertruckers? Like buying parts and not getting sent to them.

How long have the parts been on order? Have you called them and what was their reply? If they shipped you can get the parts traced. It might be their supplier is late on shipping parts to them. Remember...Most suppliers are middle businesses and they are resellers for the manufactures. As you can see a lot of reasons on why something has not been shipped and questions have to asked so one can get answers. We are lucky...Try getting parts for old Dodge ot IH trucks. At least we have suppliers to go through...and a lot of them.

Talked to Ed the other Day. He said he was dealing with some storm damage to his house down there. That may have him tied up.

He's great to work with but very busy so it is sometimes hard to catch him. He won't do you wrong. If you do catch him by phone, be ready to talk cause he just loves talking trucks!

67Jeff, I dealt with Ed, just last month. Drove down there and picked up a parts truck and hauled it back up to Jacksonville. He was very nice and I don't think that he would try to rip any one off. I have not heard anything but good about him.

By the way I see that you are in Jacksonville, aslo...I hadn't found another member from jax, we will have to chat.

Unhappy

Sorry to be the one to have the bad news. But he ordered shirts in the first round and I never got the $$ for them. Couldnt get an answer by email couldnt reach him by phone.

I understand if you a really busy with the business and things, but you should stick to your word.

I finally sold off the shirts to other board members.

Boilrman,
Sorry to hear that! I've dealt with him and had great luck! It's been a couple of years, but I wouldn't think he'd change. I assume he's busy...

I got a quote on some parts from him before Christmas, told I had to save up the cash,he said no problem, call him back. When I did,he didn't return my call,or the several emails I sent him. Ended up going to GMCPAULS and Vintage Chevy Trucks. Ended up getting a better deal, and the parts were here in days. Very happy with both suppliers. I heard good things about Ed,and he was helpful when I talked to him,but the $ was burnin a whole in my pocket !!

I'm dealling with Ed right now. Ordered some parts on 3-31-02 still haven't recieved them. Wife called them yesterday and was told that their computer had gone down and they lost all thier orders that came in online. They had somebody trying to retrieve the info from their hard drive. Was told it was no big deal because my card hadn't been charged and we had to argue that fact because we had an invoice # and our card had been charged. Was told they would call back in hour. NO call. She called back and talked to Ed himself and he said he would have to check into that and he would call back. No call. Called today, the man she talked to didn't know anything new and he would call back tomorrow by noon. Also said he would have Ed email me tonight. So we will see. Not slamming him just giving info like the question was asked. I'll give anybody a chance, SH@t happens.

Sounds like they're having problems, but not telling people about it. They need a PR department!

If I were them I'd handle it like WES and email everyone explaining what's going on. That means a whole lot more than silence in my opinion.

I am sick of dealing with them down there. I just sent him an e-mail and he won't answer it at all. They don't do a damn thing to help you out. I bought about $2,000 in parts from them and they won't lift a finger to help because parts aren't working the best. Wish a person could get some help from these guys

For us Florida residents 6% sales tax is added on so I usually shop around. I have visited Ed and also placed orders through him direct and won bids through him on eBay. I prefer to shop elsewhere and say no more.

Wife had to call them today. I got no return phone call or email. Was told that my parts were shipped today from Ohio. Guess that is where his supplier is. Should receive in couple of days. I'm ready to put my truck back together.

In answer to anybody having problems with mothertruckers I am back in the shop full time again and the worker I had has been fired!! Any customer that has a problem with me should call 1 866 755 6772 toll free and I will do my best to solve the problem. I don't make the parts myself but rely on the company that supplies the parts to me to let me know if there is a problem with getting the parts to customers in a timely fashion. 99% of the time there is no problems but sometimes there are problems as with any business. Back orders from suppliers are more often now because the demand for 67-72 parts has increased 800% in 5 years and the companies making these parts can't keep up with the demand. Since I have been back in the shop I have turned down or told customers to call back next week with their orders because I don't know when we will have the part they need. If anybody has ordered a part from me and has not recieved it PLEASE e-mail or call the above phone number 10am to 5pm monday-friday or 10am-2pm saturday eastern standard time and if I am not available leave your phone # with ED HAGEN and I will call you back that day. To those of you who have heard that mothertruckers is for sale the answer is yes but only to a qualified buyer. I have had many buyers but turned them down because they did not have the same feelings for 67-72 trucks that I do,they just wanted to make money and did not know anything about trucks. My cancer is under control and my computer is up and running for e-mails or questions but our webserver is very slow at adding or deleting parts on our online catalog so please bear with us till I learn how to operate this damn thing (going to computer classes) it's jibberish to me. CRASH DAMN NOT AGAIN!
