My Bro's Longbed
This is my brother's daily driver when he is not out on the road. Ignore the girls unless you at most 16 years of age. The truck has a bigblock. That's his show blazer in the background also. Lucky SOB. His not insulted to be called a Red-Neck. Go figure.

Re: My Bro's Shortbed
I wonder where he got the amber turn signal lenses?
And that looks a lot like a long wheel base from here. Last edited by Longhorn Man; 12-30-2007 at 02:45 PM. |

Re: My Bro's Shortbed
Good eye longhornman. My bad. I guess I can't change the title now. He sent more pics of the blazer than the truck and I guess the foreshortened view decieved my eyes. What do you mean about the amber?

Re: My Bro's Shortbed
Look in the grill on both trucks. Factory lenses were clear in 69 and 70, and as far as I know, nothing else fits in the hole. The lenses in the pick up are amber in color, while the blazer has the correct clear lenses.

Re: My Bro's Shortbed
Charlie, I will have to get back with you on that one. Thanks for the answer Longhornman. I will have to get back to you to but I do know he travels back and forth across the US in his rig many times a year. He is pretty Ate-Up with his projects. He also has, at my last count, 4 Harley Davidsons. He doesn't drive a regular route truck but one for THOR to Pro motoX races. He gots it made. I don't want to divulge his life but he has some very cool Chevy's and I am proud of him. Here's another Hint. Semper Fi.
Yeah Yeah yeah, It's a long bed. Sorry This one isn't. Not a short bed either.

Re: My Bro's Shortbed
Ok I just spoke with him. They are both 1970 by VIN. The amber lenses were on it when he bought it and the fender "cut outs" are from Bushwaker and are not advertised and about $300 as he remembers. Oh and yes the girls are now 17 and 18.

Re: My Bro's Shortbed
I guess he special ordered them (fender Cut outs) from Bushwacker. The girls, he considers them as his daughters. Get past him and or order your own..........

Re: My Bro's Longbed
I don't know how much he does on to computer as I have told him about this site. For now I will give him props as he is a very cool guy. The type you want with you who always has your back. Here is his other truck. If you see it it will be him as there is only one truck like this. Tell him that his brother David said hey. Most likely you will see it at any major PRO arena race. He looks like a shorter version of Steve Austin. He would be laughing if he read this. Anyway if you see this rig he will Shoot the bull about old trucks anyday.

Re: My Bro's Longbed
Hey that's cool. 16? I had no place as cool as this to talk about fixing up trucks when I was 16. I don't know if the girls would approve as you are the jailbait now. Better keep to fixing up the truck here.
