intints 67
Well I thot id start a build thread for my first real project of this nature that i started several months ago "Intints 67" which is to be a 67 chevy big window short wide c-10. I have wanted to build one of these trucks for about 15 years now and decided its now or never, I can only contribute this desire to losing something ? in the seat of my first truck a 67 small window long fleet c-10 w a 283 and turbo 400 auto. i may have some photos of it if i can figure out how to post them. This one's gonna be a lil bit different needless to say! I have been keeping a fair account of progress thru photos (which i see you all like) and i will post more as time permits meanwhile im learning what the heck i'm doing as i go. I started with a rolling chassis and have proceded to strip it down, notch the rear add a cpp crossmember and have it powdercoated. thats where the bills started piling up!

Re: intints 67
Just curious, but is the notch not supposed to be facing the other direction? What's the benefit of one facing up?

HAHA! You can tell the frame is upside down by the shock crossmember to the left....

Re: intints 67
Oh haha! My bad lol, I was just thinking to myself and was like what in gods name would you need a notch facing up for? Lol, excuse my ignorance. I didn't even pay attention to the rest of the frame.

Re: intints 67
It took alot of work but i got those notches reworked and on the right way now so I can proceed. I collected a couple of trucks for parts a 68 long bed pretty much for the doors and that slick toolbox cause the price was right, and an ugly mutt w/ a 67 c-20 cst big window air cab w/ factory buckets for the cab and most the front end parts are pretty good! btw not my house jus thot it made the truck look better. ( i think my buddy got kicked out of the neighborhood for that thing bn there overnight go figure)

Re: intints 67
Keep up the good work. i used to live in those types of neigborhood where you can't have your truck facing the same way for cetain amount of time and they tell you where you can and can't park your truck. We moved out once they told my dad he could not have a truck outside with out plates. Anyway good luck with your project.

Re: intints 67
Your frame looks sweet! Are you going for a slight "rake" on the stance with the 5/5 drop?

I am figuring this out as i go and I'm probly going down more with the rear depending on tire and wheel choices when I get that far I want it to have a little rake to it tho.

Re: intints 67
Yes I am aware of that, bags just are not what I want in an old truck I'm old school I guess. couple more pics with the rear end in it, Eaton posi, Mosser 5 lug axles 3.73 gears and baer track plus rear brakes, fitting the blazer tank, Cpp front sway bar, new steering box, and rollers to move it around, not what im using in the end jus needed to be able to move it goin w/ 20" on all fours or 20"/22" dont know yet.

Re: intints 67
Those are some damn nice looking "rollers". When you're ready to "chuck" them back into the pile, chuck them my way. I would love to have that set of "rollers" for my project. LOL
Keep up the nice work.

Re: intints 67
Got all the stainless brake lines ran on the frame so it was time for the goodies, was plannin on a 383 small block but you can't pass up a smokin deal on a crate 502HO motor, at least I couldn't !!!! It was black big and ugly so I shot it with good old chevy orange spray bomb and got an edelbrock intake on it and found a good deal onsome natural valve covers on feebay then backed it up with a new TCI super street fighter 700r4 tranny.
