68chevyLQ4 build.

This thread will be devoted to the progress as it happends on my 68 Chevy C-10 swb fleetside pickup. The truck as pictured is exactly the way I bought it. Engine is a 6.0 with 50k miles and 4L80E trans. Im not 100% sure what my plans are. for example I am not sure if I want to go with a ECE 4/6 drop or go all out with dropmembers. My bank account will dictate that later..For now heres some cell phone pics to get started..

I agree the wheels on it now are FUGLY.. i'll probably go with 15x8/15x10 with some sort of dog dish caps OR decide on a 20x8.5/20x10 combo

I have some thinking to do.. Gotta change those mirrors too. I have some new stock round ones to go on it..

Re: 68chevyLQ4 build.

Awesome score with the LS already installed!! I can't wait to put the 6.0 in my Ranger.

If you haven't already, take the truck and have it tuned. Its the best thing you can do for the LS motors. I had mine tuned and i get 17 MPG cruising 80-90 down the freeway and 20mpg in town. Not to mention I have enough power under the skinny pedal to walk the truck sideways....

Tunes usually run around 4-600 bucks, and like i said, it is money WELL invested.

I will definitely be following this thread!
