front spring question?

i lowered my 70 c10 l/b supposedly 2/4" it looks great and rides decent. all i did was springs(ebay) and new shocks. the rear is fine the front is more like 3-4" of drop so it bottoms pretty bad on potholes,i should have bought my springs from a better source as my buddys truck with the same drop sits a little higher in front and doesnt bottom as bad(his came from summit racing i believe) anything i can do or am i looking at new springs for front again? i need about another inch in front to make it perfect, helper spring, air shock...anything? its a weekender so not looking for perfect just better. thanks for any advice!!!

Re: front spring question?

If you want it to sit higher , new springs . if it bottoms out on the suspension u may be able to cut the bump stops or install shorter ones to give more travel.
