1954 Stock height spindles?

Folks,

went to do a brake job on my wife's '54 GMC 100. The kingpins were rocking so the brake job turned into a brake-job-plus-kingpin job. Sigh...

then, I noticed that the spindles were galled. So now the brake-job-plus-kingpin-job to-do list includes replacing the spindle. Sighx2....

anybody know where I can find a good used /new spindle?

Thanks

Probably off someone who pulled the I beam out of his truck to put an independent under it.

Can't help you on what to pay as some guys think they are scrap when they pull them out and others all the sudden think that they are solid gold and ask nine prices for them.

I've to my knowledge ever seen anything except "stock height" spindles on these trucks. There may be some difference between the ones that had Huck brakes and the ones that had Bendex brakes though but as far as I know they don't and the spindles are pretty much the same up to 59

71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Sid probably has a box full of good ones if you check with him. http://www.droppedaxles.com/index.html

That would also insure that you would get good ones as he will check them out before he sells them and if you don't already have the king pins they can install the king pins.
