Porterbuilt on stock member photos?

I was hoping you guys might be able to help me out and show pics of your 67-72 c10 with Porterbuilt A-Arms on a stock member and front coils spring? I would like to have 20" wheels front and back.

If you post a photo can you please give the following details?

1.Which coil are you running

2. Which drop spindle

3. What rear setup are you running

4. Any rubbing issues?

5. Can you rub stock inner fender wells?

Thanks guys!

Re: Porterbuilt on stock member photos?

Here's a bunch of pics of static dropped C10's its up in the 'sticky' threads in this sub forum http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=471442 - not specific to PB a-arms, but that really doesn't matter unless you're talking about the 1" narrow & forward arms, or another brand of a-arm with a drop built in the arm.

Re: Porterbuilt on stock member photos?

pics of guys with Hotchkis a-arms may be easier to find, they move the arms forward also and there are quite a few pics floating around the internet. Mike Hickman's C10 and Rob Phillips '69 C10 are a couple. There is a thread in the 73-87 build section - Simple Green that is using the PB 1" forward/narrow arms.

Re: Porterbuilt on stock member photos?

I understand that, but there are pics available and they also move the wheels forward like the PB arms do. I only suggested that as a visual reference. If you want quality aftermarket stuff, sometimes you have have to dig a little deeper. It's not like PB arms are cheap either, they are nice pieces and seem to be a very good value. Keep in mind, the Hotchkis arms also include a center link and tie rod sleeves.

Re: Porterbuilt on stock member photos?

Hotchkis I'm sure is a nice setup, but a set of a-arms for $2,400 for the pair?

I believe the are $1,148 setup for a coil.

Are they worth double? Not really sure they are in my opinion.

Re: Porterbuilt on stock member photos?

His arms haven't had the coil spring option long so you might not find many that have used them yet.But its the same arms for bags he just has a bolt in adapter so bagged at ride height might give you a idea.

I'm not saying one is better than the other or what the Hotchkis arms are worth. I was just trying to give you an option for seeing some pics that would be very similar, if not exactly what Nate's forward/narrow arms would look like.

You could always just pony up and order the PB arms and post the pics. Somebody's gotta be first, right?
