ls swap on my 72 cst k5 blazer

Hello guys ive been looking for 5 hours now and cant find anyone with pictures or info on what wires coming out the fuse box/Firewall to use to hook up this 5.3 engine??Thanks i know the purple is for the starter and then there is a couple of red ones there

I know i have to use some from the fuse box and then there is more wires coming out of that gromit on top of the emergency brake cable?

On thw fuse box plug you show, the only one you really need is the purple wire to the starter, and maybe the dark green temperature sender wire if youre keeping the stock gauges. As for the other grommet, you won't need any of it, that is the TCS junk, just eliminate it.

Ok sorry what is TCS? I also will need the red one in the fuse box right?

TCS is transmission controlled spark, it was an early and very primitive form of emmission control by only allowing the timing to advance in high gear, but like I said, you wont need it.

The red wire that powers up the fuse box is in the other connector, the one with the front lighting wires, but isnt in your pic.

You will also need a wire that would have originally powered the coil to power the ignition relay in the LS harness.

Is your truck a stick? I think they had them too. The greasy plug would have went to a switch on the side of the transmission, the one next to it would have gone to the vacuum shut off solenoid on the intake and I'm pretty sure the red one went to a kick up solenoid on the side of the carb. There should be some old school, horn relay looking things under the dash that this plugs into, you can ditch them too. Was any of this mess hooked up on your truck?

Yes its a stick shift...Truck was not running when i bought it,think they were just hanging there..i know the dark green and light green were hooked up to the trans,those ran into the fuse box but i heard there revers light wires.
