New cluster
I took the cluster out and painted the needles and reset the odometer.
Now the tach will only go to 25,000 RPM's no matter what the engine is doing. Any suggestions before I put it all back together. I have a extra ground and everything is working. Just haven't put all the screws back in it yet!

Re: New cluster
When you say "only to go 2500" do you mean it won't go higher than that, or do you mean that as soon as its powered up it goes right to 2500 and stays there? Does it matter if the engine is running? What kind of ignition?

It wouldn't go any higher. I got it fixed though...I did a hr worth of searching and finally found a post about adding another ground so between taking it a part blowing it out with air checking the movement by hand and adding another ground off the back of the tach on the stud that isn't used for hook up it's working. I don't know which one fixed it but it's fixed, that's what matter's!
