what paint color is it

can anyone tell me if it's possible to find what color paint on my truck is so i can touch up some spots without painting the entire truck ? It is currently black but not sure if its a factory color or not.

If it's 67-72, it's GM #10 black, if it's lacquer.

Can you post a photo, that way we can see if it has been repainted, and if so, if it was a factory color.

Thanks.

Is the SPID label still inside the glovebox? It will have the paint code. If the color has been changed, the paint store will have to match it.

Re: what paint color is it

the factory RPO for black paint in this era is 500. there's no way to know what your truck was repainted with, but if you take it to a paint shop, they'll probably tell you to buy some black paint in the same sheen (gloss, or whatever), that's as close as you can get, and it would probably be very close, without having a shop analyze and mix up a small batch to match perfectly (a few more $ that may not be a better match than the cheaper route).
