Thanks for posting. I don't know for sure but that certainly looks like Suburban from the GM heritage Center.

HO55, ...you are correct, that suburban is part of the Heritage Museum.

...I only know since I am 'connected' to the museum. My '67 Camaro is there...

Re: Happy Thanksgiving - Chevrolet commercial

A friend of mine who does not even own one of these trucks sent me the commercial yesterday. I have no idea how he got ahold of it. I wrote ihim back and all I could say was, "I am speechless". I wonder why Chevy ever made this ad. I am blown away by everything about it.

George, They did a similar ad last year with an Impala.
I couldn't find it on Chevrolet's site, but here's a link...

They're marketing group should do more of this stuff year round... Good stuff for sure...

Since they're advertising a '72 Suburban they should be making them. Then the world would be a happier place

Absolutely! GM, like other manufacturers, needs to get back to basics. All of the stuff now is overly complicated, ugly shoddily built junk.

GM was at their zenith circa 1972. I bet their shareholders wished they had the same market share now as they did when that Suburban was brand new.

GM market share in 1972 was roughly 52%

GM LLC market share currently is 17%, or a third of what it was in those great years.

Years of building crap caught up with them.

Amen Greg, there is way too much craziness in the world today. These commercials sure have a way of touching our souls. They sure get to us, but it's about what matters in life...

Holly, Michigan!

The little town they drove through (where the railroad museum was) is Holly, which is a little village just north of here.

The Wyoming Drive In is down by the Henry Ford Museum/Greenfield Village in Dearborn MI.
