Description: 1970 GMC Jimmy factory 2 wheel drive. Was a very stock truck when I purchased it a few years ago and I saved every original part I upgraded. It has a 350/TH350 that's mostly stock. It has an Edelbrock intake, JET Performance quadrajet, HEI dist, and ceramic coated Thorley headers for a little performance and mileage. Also a new radiator, heater core, and Magnaflow exhaust were installed. I did some chassis upgrades as well to make it a better drive. Early Classic drop spindles, front and rear springs, low profile front swaybar, adjustable trac bar, and front six lug disc conversion were installed with all new power steering and brakes(neither came factory) with parts from a donor 72. Inside I added a tilt column, a factory tach, and a Custom Autosound radio. The body is very solid with rust only in the rockers and I have replacements that go with it. The original paint shines up nicely but it would need paint to be perfect.

Wow, what a great looking (fairly) original Jimmy. You just don't see them anymore at least around here you don't.

Any shots of the rusty areas?

Good luck with the sale!

Thanks. The nice thing about the original paint is that there are no surprises. The body is in great shape overall. I added a couple of pictures. One of the drivers side rocker since it is by far the worst of the two. The rust looks to have been caused by water collecting in the door seal as it does not go into the floor. The sill plate is securely screwed into the original holes in the floor.

Sorry they are a little dark. I had to take them in the garage since it was raining outside(a rare event here).

I can't believe this hasn't been bought yet.

And thanks for the extra pics you posted. Is that the worst of the rust, just on the rockers on both sides? What are the rivets above the heater box for?

Amazing isn't it?! I would have bought it buy now...oh yeah thats how the wife ended up parking her car on the street.

Yep thats it, not too bad. Above the heater box are two bolts with washers covering holes about the size of heater hoses. Maybe an auxilariy heater at one time who knows. There are no holes inside where anything was mounted. I thought they work work for a nice aftermarket A/C one day.

Question... and I don't know much about Blazers/Jimmys, should this have a center console?

No, this one does not have holes in the floor where one used to be. As far as I know it was an option with the deluxe seats and the standard buckets came without one.

I answered my own question last night after looking through some pics of other Blazers. I guess I didn't realize they ran two different style buckets either.

I can't believe this hasn't sold, come on guys! If things were a little different around here I would definitely consider this.
