Description: After much consideration, I’m selling my truck. This was a labor of love and very much a fun project that I worked on with my father and brother. I did a complete frame off restoration to this truck…I reused some of the parts that were on it by either cleaning and painting or having rust repaired (ie bolts, sheetmetal, interior, etc) to make it a little easier on my wallet.
You can see what I/we did to this truck at my Project:Mistress build thread.

Exterior:
Paint is Sunburst Orange Metallic in decent shape…has a couple small dings
Bed is full reproduction sheetmetal, Doors are repops, cowl hood is repop, the rest was original to the truck and repaired
Brand new front and rear bumpers

Chassis:
CPP Grand Slam 2.5/4 static drop, with 6-lug car rallys…15x8 fronts (235/60/15) and 15x10 rears (275/60/15), new master cylinder with 8” dual diaphragm booster, power disc brakes on the front with CPP big drum brake rebuild kit for the rear drums
Chassis, front/ rear suspension blasted, primed and coated with Eastwood Chassis Satin black, stainless steel fuel/ brake lines, power steering

Drivetrain:
The 350 engine was in good shape replaced intake/ exhaust gaskets….Holley 4160 electric choke with Edelbrock Performer intake, HEI ignition
It’s backed by a TH400 that was rebuilt with shift kit and 2800 stall converter.
The 4-core radiator was boiled out and pressure checked before reusing.
Recently installed rebuilt 3.73 Positraction rear-end, replaced axle/ pinion seals, refilled with GM posi lube and 80/90 oil
Driveshaft has been balanced and all new u-joints installed
Summit Racing ceramic coated headers, with 2.5” H-pipe, flowmaster 40’s dump just behind the cab with 2.5” turn downs

Interior:
The interior is what was originally in the truck when I bought it, it has a bench seat that’s vinyl with a gray velour inset and it’s in decent shape, has black aftermarket lap seat belts, new black carpet, new gas tank (in cab), new dash pad, true truck tilt, aftermarket tach, am/fm/cd stereo with plastic kick panel speakers, new front windshield, door glass/ back window are reused from the original truck, vent windows have been rebuilt, all new weather-stripping, brand new heater core, cab floor was been fiberglassed and I installed LMC heat shield under driver/ passenger sides as well as firewall pad

Couple issues that need repair: fuel gauge not working properly, speedometer is off by 5mph

Some extra parts I’d let go with it if interested: converting the throttle rod to cable using LFD’s conversion kit, custom radiator cover from member ‘joeelutz’

This truck is garage kept; I have receipts for most everything I did to this or what parts I bought. I can get as many pictures you need, send videos of it running or doing a walk around, etc.

I would be interested in partial trades: olive green dash pad, 20” Coy wheels, 71/72 positraction rearend, olive green cloth bench seat cover, 64-66 Mustang parts, low mileage LS1 and tranny complete with wiring

Please let me know if I can get you any pictures or answer any questions.

Juicy truck Geoff. A 68 short fleet is my favorite body style ( next to the Burbs ) but yours is out of my price range. Good luck with the sale.
