Well I certainly do love this forum community, the wealth of knowledge and experience is exceptional. It has been an invaluable asset several times for myself and I have also tried my best to pay it forward and share some of my 30 years of wrenching knowledge.
But... a new one for me. I just restored a 1979 CC 4x4 dually, it is 99% complete and I couldn't be more happy with the results. That said I converted it to a 4l80e/np205 combo and the transfer shifter knob was beat, I could not find one anywhere, so to the ol' forums I go. Blazerman replied that he had one, sent me a pic and we worked out a deal. He sent it from the US to Canada and it worked out perfectly. People who love these trucks working together across borders is another wonder of these forums. A big shout out and thanx to you Blazerman for getting that last little piece to me! Here is the new and old ![]() Just in time for our Canadian winter, my wife would have NEVER found the 4WD!
