I thought it did. I'm looking for a truck for my father in law and found one we're going to look at and maybe buy this weekend.

It's a 72 C10 LWB with a 327 (not sure which year), TH350, PS, PB, 3 good tires, 1 not too bad. New battery, starter, alternator, voltage regulator, rotors, and 1 caliper. Said it's just a work truck with some rust and stuff, but all for $500.

I figure that a running truck almost irregardless of condition is worth at least $1000.

What do you think. I'll let ya all know how it goes.

What are YOU going to do with it? Another work truck, or rebuild/restore? I would say buy it, The 327 is a solid power plant, and steel body panels can be replaced...

Just a work truck for my father in law. He has a 70 C10 that the engine froze on, so rather than spending $800+ for a new engine, get a whole new truck plus PS & PB that his truck doesn't have.

Good deal on any account if it runs. Plus it has all of those new parts, that will prove valuable sometimes. Maybe after you get your father-in-law a new truck, invest in a rebuild kit for the motor in his old truck, sell it or keep it. Make some extra $$$.

I was actually thinking of rebuilding his old engine into a 383 for my truck....and then take my 327, make it a solid roller set up for road racing in a late 3rd gen corvette. But that's a ways down the road.

Here it is. Drives real nice. It got 10 mpg on the way home. I found that the vacum line from the carb to the distributor (HEI) was blocked, so I fixed that, got a new air cleaner and got the choke to open all the way.

yeah, it's original black top. I'd never seen or heard of it, but's right there on the glove box.

What does it say on the glove box? I have seen only about pictures of 3 other ones on this board and they all have been orange.

There is one just like that in my hometown, orange with a black top from the factory. In fact, it is an old guy who drives it and would probably sell it. By the way, has anyone ever seen, or heard of a yellow truck with a black top from the factory?

That is an unusual colour combonation. $500 bucks for a truck that runs and hasn't been taken off the road by the inspector is an awsome deal to me!
