Re: Regarding a 1990 GMC Jimmy 2wd conversion listed on Craigslist, Asheville NC area

Good Evening, Please excuse me, I certainly did not intend to bypass any rules with regard to "posting an ad" I simply thought that perhaps someone would be interested in the fact that I had listed a 2wd Jimmy on Craigslist. I assure you that I would never knowingly violate the rules of this board nor would I ever be unkind or mean spirited. I attempted to sign up for a one year membership to this very informative and entertaining site, Though I am rather nieve with regard to computers in general, I was not able to locate a way to pay with a credit card. Perhaps I have overlooked somthing? To each his/her own but I have zero interest in using Paypal in any way shape or form. I would like to Thank all of the people that have made a site such as this possible. There is a wealth of information to be found in these pages and the kindness and respect that is shown by you People is heartwarming. Best Regards, Eddie Wood

Eddie, I checked out the add and the truck looks nice. If you have the time before it sells I would like to come see and talk with you about the front suspension swap. I have an 87 I'm working on and I'm having trouble figuring out how to locate the crossmember.

Re: Regarding a 1990 GMC Jimmy 2wd conversion listed on Craigslist, Asheville NC area

Good Morning Paul, You are certainly Welcome to come and look over my truck if you wish. The Man who converted the truck said that it was a fairly straightforward process. He said that he had a template that I could have for any future projects. In all honesty I had forgotten about the template until now. I will try to contact him about it within the next few days (I forgot it when I picked up my truck) and perhaps you could make yourself a copy of it. By the way, I have another (factory 2wd) Jimmy that you can take measurments off of if you wish. I do not have a lift but I do have a set of ramps and a number of jacks so that you can safely get under the truck to measure or photograph it. The truck has a mild lowering kit on it but it will still clear the ramps. In the interest of space on this forum you may contact me by email if you wish. holme@bellsouth.net...Best Regards, Eddie Wood

Re: Regarding a 1990 GMC Jimmy 2wd conversion listed on Craigslist, Asheville NC area

Good Morning, Let me start with a heartfelt Thank You to Nate, Joe, Fred T. and all of the kind people who have Welcomed me to this site and taken the time to help me. I try my best to be a good and decent Man and maintain a positive attitude regarding most everything but to me it seems that in the world in which we live (some) people can be so cruel and mean toward one another. It is so refreshing to know that there are still enough good people to make a difference. The true value of this site has very little to do with trucks at all, The real treasure here is in the people who not only extend a hand but open their Hearts. My Best Regards to you all, Eddie Wood
