Silverado wheel question
I have a 1996 C1500 Silverado with 5 lug 15 inch wheels. Can someone tell if the wheels on the red truck are factory GM wheels. If so, what year? thanks J

Re: Silverado wheel question
I have a set that are similar. They came on my 97 Tahoe.

Re: Silverado wheel question
The Red truck in the pic you posted has factory alloys that have been hand polished. I could be wrong, but they are usually not that shiny.

Re: Silverado wheel question
I believe you can use the center cover of the red trucks wheels on your wheels. I know quiet a few of those years aluminum wheels, the center pieces interchange

Re: Silverado wheel question
Most of the 95 and earlier trucks have the center cap with simulated lug nuts. Most of the 96 and newer trucks have the smooth center cap. The wheels are the same. That wheel was also used on the astro/safari vans.

Re: Silverado wheel question
I did not even pay attention that the wheels are the same. I will be looking for a center cap to try. Thanks for all the input. j

Re: Silverado wheel question
X2... I had a 94 Tahoe 4x4 it had the nuts on the covers. I liked the smooth covers so I switched them out with a gal at work she never noticed till I told her lol

Re: Silverado wheel question
That red truck is one of my old trucks.
Factory wheels that came on it. It was a 98. They were just cleaned up and waxed up shiny! |

Re: Silverado wheel question
Yep, simple center cap change is all it was (of course you know that now ). Looks good! I prefer the smooth caps on those wheels as well.
