Sizing bench seat
My 67 project truck has no seat, seat brackets, sliders nothing!!
I may have a line on a 69 bench seat that needs reupholstered I’m assuming 67–72 bench Seats will be a perfect fit in my 67?? What about the brackets and sliders? What about the newer square body truck seats, 73 and up? Any input would be appreciated! |

Re: Sizing bench seat
Some one will chime in with better details, I think anything above 72 requires some modification to get it to fit. 90's bench seats are close and possibly more comfortable...hard to find in decent condition.

Re: Sizing bench seat
So are you sure if 67 through 72 seats, brackets, sliders, all fit without too much fabrication

Re: Sizing bench seat
All will bolt right in 67-72. 67 and I believe some or most 68's the backs will flip forward. 69-72 have stationary backs, but makes no difference in seat bracket/slider mounting when you are talking bench.

Re: Sizing bench seat
I have a 67 with a 69 bench seat installed. As mentioned above, the 67-72 bench seats should bolt right in.
Here is a link to a thread that talks about 67-72 bracket differences: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=510997 The metal tag on my standard model seat says 6-2-69. Here are a couple of pics: |
