made a patch for the gaping hole I had cut in the firewall for the porterbuilt hinges, tacked it in and ground down the welds...I have a little more to do but almost ready for some filler.

Well the FedEx guy tracked me down today...brought me some presents....Detroit steel wheels, 20x9 fronts and 20x14 rear. powder coated white and drilled with clips for caps.

wow, when you said you were going with the Detroit Steel Wheels I was expecting the typical 8" front/ 9" rear combo, not those 14" monsters! That is going to look insane. Get those on already!

Looks like it's time to narrow the rear axles. Talk about filling the space between frame rail and fender! That's going to look awesome!

good thing your going with a Watts Link to keep the rear centered, the tires are going to be tight on the frame rails

I'm so happy I decided to take a look at this thread... Fantastic progress and the truck is so tastefully done. I can't wait to see the finished result!

haha..yeah it looks tighter than it actually is, still have a few inches each side without cutting into the bedside.
