Re: Project 78 High Sierra

Well got the tach all hooked up.....She fires up at 1600RPM when cold....Once she calms down idles about 1050RPPM...Is that high for my engine? Turned the idle screw a bit but it wouldnt go lower

Also the Radiator hose wasnt extremely tight on the block so it squirted out a bit on the block and valve covers...BOOO! Lol

Re: Project 78 High Sierra

Seems a bit high, but not too bad. Does it sound like its idling high? It also might idle slightly higher till it warms up, then will drop to like 8-900. I don't know though. The rest of your guages look like everything's good. I think idle is a little bit a matter of opinion, as far as how low to go.

New CD Player means more adjusting....Had to trim the bezel some more and then trim the CD player ring to get it to fit better with out trimming the red border on the bezel

Re: Project 78 High Sierra

Hmmm. I remember it was idling high when we were up there, but then after your test drive it sounded pretty good. Does it sound high now? I've always adjusted idle by hearing, so Idk much about the range. You might just need to drive it awhile and see if it settles down.

Re: Project 78 High Sierra

Haha you're too young to be having memory problems, you better be using head gear practicing for your fight! lol

I'll help you with it when I get back. I think your idle is normal, it could be a fuzz high.
