Re: Senior Project Build

I think you are right, and yes it is mostly stock. I actually found a nice deal on a new Holley 600 single feed and it seems to work great. Now I don't want to put any money into the motor, because I want to swap over to a Gen III LS2 ;]

Where did you get the Yenko stripes? Btw, truck looks better all the time!

For my Senior project I am gonna do a 60's bug.

Re: Senior Project Build

Thanks man, I found the stripe kit on egay, they are supposed to be for a Camaro or Chevelle. Those 50's-60's bugs are pretty sweet, are you going to put in a dropped beam and make it rat rod style? I have wanted one of those for a long time.

So I noticed you had heavy duty tie rod sleeves. Where can a kid get a set at. And also are those single piston calipers or dual?

Thanks Mike

Re: Senior Project Build

I got all the front end components as a kit from Performance Online. They are single piston calipers.

Re: Senior Project Build

When you pull your pan, I would get a new one, often time cheap no name brand pan's aren't the right size, and hold oil like a colander.

I would go for a Moroso kick out pan.

Re: Senior Project Build

And by the way, that is a pretty slick truck.

The one I built in high school was a 70 Chevy short bed, loved that thing.

Hey thanks man. I am actually planning a Gen III swap, so I scraped the plans to heat up the motor.

Yeah, my plan is metallic purple paint, bags, and some 17" rallys. Oh, and tweed interior.

It will be, hopefully. But the guy I'm teaching with it says "Purple is for girls." I was so tempted to slap him...
