I did not install the glass I had a mobile glass guy do it. I got the glass from Classic Industries and had him install it. The Windshield went in easy only took them about 15 min, but the back glass gave them fits, it took them around 45 min and they were about to give up until I told them get it in and if you break the glass its on me I will get another one.

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build

This is right before my first real drive. I have a car buddy that is not doing so well these days so I took the truck to his house so he can take a look at it. The truck rides nice but the best part was seeing the smile on his face when he was checking it out.

Simply a FANTASTIC job!

Hey, somewhere you mentioned you plan to redo your Belair. When you do that, can you periodically post update on it here? I know this site isn't for the cars but I'd still like to know the plan for it and the progress.

See 'ya somewhere when the world opens up again, Bam. Best ,Dan

Dan,

First of all thanks for the compliments. As far as the 55 210, yes I will be redoing it with a new suspension, drivetrain, and paint scheme. But I'm going to take about a year break, I'm tired.lol I will start a build thread in the Alternate Tinkerings section of this site. I will be sure to let you know.

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build

Thanks Bam, really looking forward to it.

I think I've mentioned it before but my dad bought a brand new black Belair two door hardtop to bring his baby son home from the hospital (me) and he gave it to me when I turned 17. I did a lot of work on it as a young kid in auto shop. But I wanted a van - all the rage when I was that age.

It KILLS me I was so stupid and didn't keep it the rest of my life. I actually tried to find it via the DMV in my 40's but couldn't track it down even though I knew the old license number. Again, looking forward to watching your progress!

Yeah if we could only get back the cars that got away. I had a 66 GTO in high school I wish I had it now.
