Dec. 7 1941

In memory of those who never had a chance!

Our nation is built on our history, no one has the right to ever change it!

GOD BLESS THE USA!

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

All Hero's for sure! God Rest Their Souls.
If anyone has not seen the current movie "Midway" I highly recommend it.
A great documentation on how they predicted where the Japanese Fleet would be, and when.
A lot of things John Q. Public never knew that went on to give the knockout blow to the Japanese Navy that drastically shortened the war.

My guess is that a fair amount of board members have been to the Pearl Harbor Memorial/Arizona.

We went there a while back. Its really something to stand there and just think about what happened. I highly recommend it if you have the chance.

Saw the movie Friday night. Great movie. 3 hours long, but it was so interesting it went by really fast.

Re: Dec. 7 1941

I was at Pearl quite a few times while serving in the Navy. I re-enlisted as a Master Chief onboard the USS Arizona Memorial. The story the CO told then - there wasn't a dry eye in the house. I know I stood my watch, but it wasn't a candle to those that went before me. It's always bothered me that I never did enough.

I've been to that memorial twice. I didn't realize they considered it being on board, or maybe I just forgot! I know how you feel about feeling like you might not have done enough. I was an 11B. To this day I really don't feel like a vet. I feel like I had an awesome three year adventure, I stood ready and turned up lucky, luckier than I know. I served with some great people, and real hero's and POW's. Men who were not braggarts and whom wanted no thanks or special treatment, just a CIB. Soldiering and sailoring can be hard careers of sacrifice.

That said, you did enough, you did plenty... and I am thankful!

Re: Dec. 7 1941

one of my greatest honors was manning the rails in whites around ford island pulling in to pearl..

most often we bail n hide for whatever bs sea n anchor detail we can make up to get out if it..

but never a shortage of us standing tall there, never forget that feeling..

knew a man in long beach named bud who was on the mighty mo for the surrender..

had room in his house dedicated to the war, boy the stories he had

My son & I went to see MIDWAY today! I must say it could have been better and didn't need all the added drama. It was a good movie though.
