Re: Attempting the "$50 paint job"

Umm, more like $150 these are big trucks. I don't think I would ever do another truck, I'd borrow works booth and spray. But for this truck this time, I'm satisfied with the results and think it was worth the effort.

Turned out good. Are you going to put the lower trim on it to break up the two tone?

Re: Attempting the "$50 paint job"

Can I get an opinion on the bed liner? It's pretty chunky, I was wanting something more uniform. I'm thinking I can take a paint wheel and knock it all down then go with a more uniform product?

I got the bumper on and polished, complete with it's signature license plate:

Re: Attempting the "$50 paint job"

After more research, there's a special roller you need for the Bed Armor.....Guess I need to try to sand it down and get the full kit with the roller.

Re: Attempting the "$50 paint job"

I bought a Herculiner kit today, $98 with $25 rebate....until they found out the rebate was expired and refunded me $25 on the spot

Gonna try to knock the old stuff down with a paint wheel later today.

That turned out very nice. I plan on painting my Jeep Wagoneer the same way.
