Opinion on Rims

My 62 currently has the original rims but I was playing around with photo editor and I put my Armada rims on the truck. They actually have the same bolt pattern and may fit. What do you think? I would definitely keep the original rims to put on whenever I need a change.

Re: Opinion on Rims

I like them. I have been debating wether to keep the 6 bolt pattern or spend the money to change to 5 lug. Have you found many 6 bolt rims to choose from. I would prefer to stay 6 bolt and save some cash.

I have not found alot of 6 lug to choose from but ironically the Nissan Titan/Armada which I have as a daily driver use the same bolt pattern. The majority of the rims I have found are 5 lug.

I like the chrome smoothies better myself. I had a set on my 65 Suburban when I put disc brakes on the front as they had a dual lug pattern. I traded them for truck rally style off of an 85 Suburban. Sometimes I wish I still had my smoothies but the center cap was very thin metal and would dent putting it on with my hand.

Re: Opinion on Rims

Another vote for the smoothies.
Drop the front a tad and it'll be perfect!

Re: Opinion on Rims

Hi is the center hole bore at least 4 inches. Because that's where I'm running into problems fitting the new wheels to the original spindle. Also are those 15 inch wheels?
Thank you

The original Chevy rims are 15 but the Amanda are 20 but they are also available from the Titan in 18. I am sticking with the originals but like the options.

Just an FYI... those smoothies are not the "original Chevy rims".

Re: Opinion on Rims

I think he meant what was originally on the truck when he bought it.

I would stick with the smoothies also.

Sorry I should have been more specific. Yes the question was for the picture of the rims. I like that style but was wondering if the center hole was big enough.
thank you

I painted my 86 Suburban truck rally rims to match the paint on my Sub. Looked really good.
