Finally got the fuel system all in.
The tank sits on some 1/8" rubber to protect it from scuffing.

The lines are for the hydraulic rams that lift the bed.

Well some days it just doesn't pay to get up.
had big plans to get the engine and trans in the frame today.
My brother came out to help.
We got the trans bolted to the engine and as we were turning it over to put in the torque converter bolts it would seize up. We pulled it back of and the engine would turn over just fine. After a little investigation we found that the pump had been trashed.
After talking to a trans specialist about it he thinks the P.O. pulled the engine and trans apart leaving the torque converter bolted to the flex plate and broke the impeller.
The rest of the trans looks O.K. inside.
Going to get a new pump and put a shift kit in it while I've got it a part.
Here's a pic for your enjoyment.
Still need to remove the bell housing before re-assembly. It takes a hardened torx socket for the bolts.

I've looked at your build thread a number of times but never replied. This is such an impressive build man, really, top notch workmanship. Gotta love pro street because sometimes, 10" just isn't enough!!!

Well here's what I've been keeping busy on.
The pics are kinda boring but I'll post them any ways.
Ended up putting in a TransGo shift kit along with having my pump rebuilt.
Put in Raybestos Z-pack 3-4 frictions and a 29 element Borg Warner front sprag and an upgraded band.
Was going to stop there but found that one of the forward frictions teeth were mangled so I replaced them all even though the rest looked like they were brand new.

I guess I can look at the positive in all of this. The trans seems to have no wear on it at all and I was able to upgrade some of its week spots.
Also was very interesting as this was the first one I have ever done.
Just need to put the pan and bell-housing on and it's ready to go.

That trans sure is clean. You have a lot more courage than I. Two things I don't open (1) Computers (2) Automatic Transmissions. Good job, Kim.

It was real clean inside so I consider my self lucky on that.

It's a TransGo SK 4L60E Shift Kit. It's supposed to help clear up some of the issues with the trans. Wasn't that bad of an install if that's all you do.
Has very detailed instructions in the kit and there tech line was very helpful when I called with questions.

What kind of horsepower are you going to be putting down? Did you do anything else to make sure that it can handle the load?

The LS2 is rated at 390HP and 390TQ from the factory.
This trans was the one that came with my engine and I wouldn't have touched it if it wasn't for the pump being broken.
