72 Burb on Greenville, SC Craigslist (not mine)

Just saw this while scanning Craigslist. (Not mine)

Looks good! (although the statement "less rust than most" is a little concerning.)

I came across the listing too and thought the statement about the rust was a little different...why not describe the rust?

Why does it seem all the Burbs are far from the mid west?

For that kind of money it really shouldn't be a starting point.

Just my 2¢.

Very true, but it also depends on who you are, what your capable of, and what is your end goal.

What could 9 or 10 k buy in a 1967 to 1972 suburban? I saw that green one in all my searching and it seemed to be in the middle of the pack on pricing.

One thing to keep in mind is how long the truck has been listed. If it's been on there a while chances are it is overpriced. If priced appropriately it will sell fast and you won't see threads on message boards asking for opinions.

IMO the seller is twice the market price on his number.

Oh no, we get some pretty good rust on these trucks in the Carolinas. Every one I look at will need cab corners and rockers at a minimum.

Re: 72 Burb on Greenville, SC Craigslist (not mine)

Location has a lot to do with price. It seems there are many nice ones out west and they are pretty rare farther east.

Saw this one on Craigslist in Waverly IA a couple weeks ago priced at $10,500. It was sold and went to Kansas, now priced at $16,900.

Re: 72 Burb on Greenville, SC Craigslist (not mine)

I've been looking for a Burb for quite a while and have seen a lot of shall we say less desirable Burbs that sell for more than the asking price on this one. The body looks decent to me and the interior hasn't been hacked up. Now I see it is a radio delete and has no gauge package and I wonder how many seats it has as the second seat, which I always thought was a standard feature is also an option, is not pictured. A pic of the tailgate up to se the rust would be good too. The seller needs a compressor and it really needs one because its not there. I think an uneducated buyer would be all over this one quickly. I tried to buy the one in the attached pics last fall , small block with no A/c but original owner with all paperwork and the asking was 12,900 and she wouldn't take my 10,500 offer and still has it. This one is in the Pacific North West and has a little rust on passenger floor board.

Already Gone..that one looks like a good one! Too bad he didn't take your offer.

When I get serious looking for one, I'm going to throw it up on this board for advice.
