Re: 67 long box

Spent a couple of hours in the blast cabinet on my hinges, a bit of paint and brand new. Upgrading the wiring to add a new panel. My dash didn't fair so well in the southern heat, recovering that and the door panels in black and adding black visors. Taking some blue out, add more black and silver.

Re: 67 long box

Been down with migraines again, on average now 5 to 7 a day so not much happening in the shop. I'm going to a new doc. in the new year to see about an electrical implant to try and stop them. Damn headaches are messing up my shop time. I did find the rest of my wiring and it doesn't look to bad. It's hard to concentrate on detailed stuff with a headache. I just keep going and push on, I want a driver not a project waiting to be driven. How can you tell I've a couple of crappy weeks.

Re: 67 long box

Sorry to hear about your headaches! Wiring would be very tough to do with a migrane.
Hopefully the new Doc will help.

Thanks I try not to take on other work due to health problems, but I'd be willing to talk to him or work him through the job. My shop isn't big enough to hold another truck either. Some times the rocker repair can be more involved than what's seen on the outside.

No problem , thought I would ask. He has asked me , just a little to busy with my own fleet, and it's hard to find metal work of your quality up here.

Re: 67 long box

back at the wiring after a month sick, got the new used fuse block to add in. Did the headlight relays, alternator switch to internal, HEI wired, added another 10ga wire from the battery to more interior power. nice box of spare wire going on from old projects.

Re: 67 long box

repurposed the voltage reg. to a breaker holder. weather proof and looks stock. This will replace the fuseable links from the starter.

Re: 67 long box

That's a great idea with rc fittings! I wanted to clean up the routing as well. It's just weird that gm routed it so messy from the factory.

Re: 67 long box

just add the newer fuse block and I'm feeling happy. Yup RC plane parts, I've taken most the clutter off the firewall.

Re: 67 long box

Taking a break from wiring and put the washer through the cowl from the inside. Now to use the holes from the washer hoses on the firewall by adding two more holes to make 4 identical location holes to light up the engine bay. LED spot lighting. Started prepping for vintage air install to add wiring to my harness.

Re: 67 long box

almost ready to install again. too many wires, still have the alarm, electric door locks with remote open, power window wiring, stereo, usb charge ports. Now it seems like I'm just starting to wire. Sending unit came in and installed.

Re: 67 long box

power window and lock relays controlled by momentary push button switches. No rocker switches, something different. Diodes to stop reverse ground flow to relays from alarm output and button to relay trigger.

Thanks, that reg box holds the two breakers perfect and still looks like it could have been there from factory.
