Let`s all just chill out.$h!+ happens. As long as Bryan and Frank can settle, that`s all that matters here.Things aren`t always cut & dry. And,fault can fall in more than one direction. But,a dealer is in the middle of it all and when this stuff happens it hurts him as much as the customer.

I've followed this drama for a few days and have come to one conclusion...if I need to buy parts from a board member I will check the "bad deals" section first. This thread has been very enlightening.

Good idea Krue! I just happened to stumble on this thread myself. I never think to look here because it's kind of out of the way.

Re: Bad Deal with bryanschevyparts---

So what it boils down to is that he(Bryan)wants to sell parts here. And make money.

But Frank is not supposed to make money on his parts that he sells? So Bryan takes it upon himself to screw Frank out of money? RIGHT.

And take his sweet time paying it back. OK.

One thing i learned from visiting this board every day. Some guy will show up. Seem to have all the parts. Try to sell them without pics. Mistreats longstanding board members. And generally is a jerk.

Moral of this story. Buy your stuff from Frank. He has been here a long time. And is a stand up guy.

Bryan has already burnt lots of bridges. And only been here since March of 08.

Easy to figure out.

I bought similar seat covers for my buddy buckets from Frank and installed them myself with advice from him on "How To". I am very happy with the results and found the quality top notch!
I have had dozens of dealings with Frank and know his honesty, integrity, quality and knowledge of his products is outstanding!

Me too!! Frank is one of my favorites on here, for his advice, his vast experience, and his unwavering devotion to getting the best parts availible and standing behind everything he sells. Remeber he is not just a vendor, but uses EVERYTHING he sells, knows how they will fit and will give you all the help/advice that is needed for you to accomplish your goals with your truck.

I haven't bought anything for Bryan, but I have sold him several parts and without incident. I am not knocking Bryan either, just stating what I know of Frank.

Re: Bad Deal with bryanschevyparts---

I dealt with Bryan on something I sold and had no problems. I am not taking sides here just putting in my 2 cents. I have been taught that when you purchase something and receive it, the first thing you do is inspect your item whatever it may be. If it is a rifle you inspect it to make sure it is lubed, barrel is clean, etc, etc, If you have dealt with similar items purchased then you would know what to look for as far as flaws. I was an estimator for a Tile contractor. Before taking that position I was a tile setter for about 6 years. I had to deal with tile setters not inspecting tiles and manufacturers sending defective tiles etc.. alot of drama and money issues. The thing is there must be a way to settle the issue. The customer always thinks he/she is right ,however it is not always true. If the item is installed (in this case a seat cover) it should have been inspected and deemed good enough to install. The upholstery shop should have caught any defects before installing and pointed them out. Be more careful of who does installs for your truck, home, boat etc is the lesson we can all learn from this I guess. I hope all of this gets worked out for both board members !

Re: Bad Deal with bryanschevyparts---

I finally got my deal done with Bryan. Back in August, Bryan had a blazer windshield frame that I was interested in. I didn't have the extra cash, so we eventually agreed that I would trade my used fender, tach, and a manual for the windshield frame. I box up the fender in one box, and the tach and book in another. After waiting a few days (mid september) for him to get ready, I drop off the tach and book at the post office, and call DHL to pick up the fender. Before they pick it up I get a PM from Bryan saying that it's going to be a "pain in the butt" and too expensive to ship the frame, and wouldn't be a fair trade, so he's going to just try to sell it locally. At this point I'm aggravated, but he agrees to send the tach and book back when he got it, so I blow it off. The next day I sent him a PM telling him to hang on to the stuff for a few days and maybe I can come up with something to make it worth while for him. 9-23 I get a PM from him saying "i saw your gas tailight and it is awesome!! would this be of any interest for you to fab me one?if so i would send this frame out this week?" So, I agree to build him one, which takes me a few weeks. 11-19-(still no frame) I send him a PM saying that I'm ready to ship and get no response.(He ignores PMs sometimes) So, I sent him another one. He sends me several excuses over the next few weeks, meanwhile this thread is getting heated, so finally I send him a PM on 12-12 telling him to either send the frame or $100 to cover the tach and book. After more excuses and some help from Liz and Special K, I finally got the $100 on 12-23.
Lesson for all- If you make a deal on this board-
#1 Do what you agreed to do.
#2 Answer PMs promptly. ESPECIALLY if you have someone's money or parts.
#3 If you have been paid, don't mess around, get the part(s) shipped. More than a week is too long. I've been buying and selling on this board for 7 years and have never been screwed. I thought that this was going to be the first, but at least I got my money back.

Well,it seems we have another bad deal here.A member sent me a message asking to help.Once again the deal ended up with a refund rather that a part being sold. That in itself bothers me to see a repaeting pattern here.Once again Bryan`s dragging his eet and this member has not recieved "HIS" money that Bryan`s not entitled to.Besides,he agreed to the refund. As always,I pm`d Bryan for his side of the story before taking any action.I`ve sent quite a few with them getting more assertive until it cames to,"Repy or else".No reply and he`s been on the site ignoring me.He hasn`t posted.I told him I`m aware of exactly when he was on.Still no reply. The fact that some deals went well means nothing to me.At this point I don`t know his status as a member. It sure doesn`t look good. What do others think?

By chance, can he be banned from selling for a time? I don't think he should be banished from the board totally, I just think that maybe he needs to take a breather from selling, and restricting him from selling here would do that!! Just a thought?!?!

Sad to see this ongoing. I have met and dealt with several board members and have only had one bad experience here. Hopefully he will man up and do the right thing.

The good does not out weigh the bad in my opinion. I for sure will stay away.

The thing about this and any other bad deal is there is NO good reason whatsoever for it to happen. We're all adults here. You get paid-you ship! How hard is that?. He is starting to sound more and more like the chrome guy in Texas that is constantly being shut down on ebay for bad deals
