Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

Yes I have. I even sat in a truck with some. They sit nice. Kinda laid back. The guy cut the floor brackets down too. They sat nice. I have a buddy doing the same thing in his. They are hard to come by tho. Some crew cabs had them.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

Well, I got the dreaded weather stripping on. Its one job that I hate doing on these trucks. I also finished up the carpet stuff like the pedal and dimmer switch grommet. I put in the stainless sill plates. Those actually fit well and the holes lined up perfectly. I was surprised. I was finally able to put my old GM mats in. I'll get some pics tomorrow and hopefully insurance next week. I have a guy that I need to talk to about setting up my posi unit. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

Excellent work on the interior. I have been rolling around in mine tonight too. I'm putting off the seals as long as possible.

Where did you find the nice fitting stainless sill plates? I have some chrome cheapys that aren't going to work. They are shaped completely wrong. Thanks.
Keep up the good work, you just keep leading by example

Thanks Mike, I got the sills at Southern Ky Classics. I've had the chrome ones before and they rusted pretty quickly.

Haha I'm just a few days ahead of ya. No leading here.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

Today I did some things around the house but found some truck time. I cleaned and put the sun visors in. I cleaned and painted the charcoal canister. I need to get a piece of 2'square tubing to mount it on the rear bed crossmember.

I thought I would show the exhaust that my guy did. I used the magna flow that Rus gave me. Its a single exhaust and it sounds good. It dumps before the rearend.
