Re: What color is your Suburban/Panel?

I got one coming out of Oregon. Thanks. Ill be buying parts for the disc brake conversion as money becomes available.

As for color, My American Indian side is telling me to paint the body Candy Tangerine Pearl with small gold flake and the roof a light cream with a Candy Tangerine pearl clear. I would love to see a rendering in that combo!!

A nice light Root Beer brown with that Aqua would look nice. My wife says charcoal gray.

Ranger Danger please give you wife a thumbs up, as at sometime in the past, some or all, of the WMB was metallic charcoal. The door window frames are still gray and it works well with the aqua. It's on the short list of colors.
The WMB will most likely come back as two tone scheme if only to make the painter happy.
The purple in real life is far more vibrant than it shows in the photo. My sisters comment was "you don't have to worry about anyone stealing it"

The '67 Panel was originally White. Right now it is Light Grey primer but it will be 2012 Kia Soul "Vanilla Shake" with Maroon accents when finished. (hopefully this Summer)

I had been looking for a '67 or '68 Panel for years. I even considered buying member Liverat's when he had it for sale and flying out to WA and driving it back to Iowa.... Believe it or not I stumbled onto this one 17 miles from my house. It took me four years to buy it but it's mine now!

We have similar Panels, and similar stories. I wanted one since I was a kid. All the coolest kids in my 'hood had them, to haul around their dirt bikes and surf boards and stuff in. I was just sure that when I was old enough, that's what I would have, too. And as I got into these trucks, it was going to be either a '67 or '68. I ended up with a white '68. It's currently apart in my shop, but I'm leaning towards a medium-dark blue for it's next color.
