Re: Daverods 52

A tire place. They said thre same thing. Said I would'nt be able to get up the ramp bla bla bla. Raised it up drove right on, had them put their things on the rims then lowered it as far as I could. It was'nt perfect but much better then I set it. I might take a look at redoing my ball joints a different way. For now it all good. It was the second tire p[lace I took it. Les Swab said it would be done by 6 ......sat their all day and they never got to it....Left there with a lot of noise and tire smoke.

Re: Daverods 52

It should be aligned at riding height, or you will ware the tires out really fast.

Re: Daverods 52

note to self. don't plug cable into back speed switch then let 150 pound dog jump in truck. Flatten the cable down right next to the switch, the truck did a bunch of different air stunts then aired down for the count....suc. Called Accuair and sent ecu and switch away for awhile. Did get my radio put in sounds good with just the rears. Can't get the flash drive to play songs. weird ...flash works on the computer to play songs but not in the truck.? Aways somthing.

Re: Daverods 52

so you ran stock ball joints? I was looking into the longer ones for the s10's or if I really had to just go with tubular a-arms, but I'm trying to get that project done with a particular budget, so I'd like to save loot where I can.

Re: Daverods 52

Michigan metal, Suicidedoors, ride tech.. their arms are all based off a stock arm only difference is the balljoint mount angle to layout on a larger wheel/tire combo.

At your ride height, what do the lower arms look like? Are they pretty much flat and level to the ground? A competent shop shouldnt have any problems aligning an s10 front end. To adjust the caster he can simply add an extra shim to the front or rear bolt to angle the arms a little bit. Also even if the caster isnt perfect thats normal for a lowered s10 chassis. As long as they get the camber and toe set right at your ride height you'll be fine.

Re: Daverods 52

yeah tuff call, I can get a longer BJ for like 50 bucks, which isn't much more than a moog or something decent. I'd like tubular a-arms if I went that aftermarket route. up in the air still.

Thanks Shannon.

My front camber was -2.5 when I went in. He adjusted it to -.2.
Caster was 10 when I went in 11.8 after
Toe in before-.23
Toe in after .12
Total toe before -.42
Total toe after .24
Nothing but the facts...
