I will start one when I get around to building the frame. I've been collecting the suspension parts for a couple of years and now have most of what I need to start. It's a C5 rear suspension and a C6 Z06 front. I'm using C6 Z06 brakes all around.

What did it take to get that rear seam you welded so crisp? Did you have to fill up to it or what's the secret? Looks fantastic!

We used a mig welder, then we grinded the weld down being careful not to remove alot of material and cleaned up the grove with a metal file. I finished it off using a fine cut off wheel and masking tape to give me a nice line, I used the cut off wheel right in the center of the grove but used it at a lower speed.

Re: back on the 1950 after 10 yrs being stopped

Got the door jambs done for now along with the dash, 1st coat of high build primer is on. Got some epoxy on the firewall and complete interior sheetmetal, we will be doing the bodywork on firewall when we mate the cab to its chassis. well looks like we are going to give the bodywork a break and moving onto the chassis.

2dwn4u - the truck is coming along really nice. Stellar body work on it. Definitely subscribed on this one.

That Cobra R in the background in your earlier pictures - are you working on that or your buddy? BF Goodrich's Cobra R has been on my wall since the release of that car.
