That thing is awesome! I assume it is a 402 bigblock. Too bad the bugsheild is screwed to the top of the hood.

Boy, that's pretty cool. When there's finally something in good rust free shape within my area, it's an impractical vehicle that I have no desire in. Still a good looking piece though.

Just a thought to add to this, this thing comes out of the area I grew up in, in Montana, they don't salt the roads there, this thing probably is as rust free as you are going to find.

Out of curiousity.... maybe a dumb question, but they is the Ambulance Bug Shield turned to the driver of the bus can read it, and the person in front of them? This struck me as being odd. My guess is that it's one incorrectly?

It is backwards so the whoever looks in their mirrors will see "AMBULANCE"

many years ago i junked one of those-it was used here in town when i was a kid. tried selling it whole, long before i had a computer but no body was interested in the big old thing. i thought about swapping it on to a 4x4 sub frame with some 1 ton axles and turning it into a hunting rig but lack of time and money sent it to the crusher. they are cool rigs if you have the time for them.

They got one of those out here in the junkyard, all complete. It use to be used at the old Pearsons race track as the actual ambulance. Old Gordan at County line auto wrecking collects the older stuff and puts it up front for sale. It's been there for about 4 years. Just isn't anyone interested in it around here. It is cool to see it when you drive by. Cool Post!!!!
