Question torsion bars and disc brakes

Anybody else have discs on a torsion bar truck??

w/gov lock 70s c20 front discs (built in the 80s)
65 GMC 930 dualwheel 292 4spd all origonal 39k mi(my sons truck)
63 GMC 950 camperized school bus, (Gus the bus)
350 4speed 2 speed rear
64 GMC 950 "spare" bus 283? 4speed detroit locker
53 GMC 1ton dual wheel bus
78 GMC c25 short course off road race truck(son's truck)
355 th400 14 bolt (www.wheel2wheel.ca)
88 Peterbilt 379 longhood (hauls race truck)

Welcome to the board.

I don't have them,... but ECE (Early Classic Enterprises) makes a disc brake spindle for the 60-62 torsion bar trucks.

Part number:
911-6062S (stock height)
911-6062 (drop spindle)

Did you use a kit?? when I built my truck the C20 knuckles wre the closest, just had to ream the top of the lower taper a bit to fit my ball joints.

Yes it was a kit from McGaughys hope I spelled it correctly It came with 2 1/2 dropped spindels, 6 lug disc rotors, calipers, hoses, master cylinder, booster inner and outer berings and porprotion valve

Man the kits came along too late for my build I did my 62 gmc back in the early eighties and it was run what you could find , but the next one is going to have 6 bolt wheels for sure

I used ECE 2 1/2 in. drop on mine with no problem.
