My junkyard crawl...

Stumbled onto a nicely optioned 76 (i think) shortbox 4x4. Sorry i didn't have a camera with me. You would think i would know better... The emblems were gone and so was the spid so i am not even sure of the model. Shortbed, 4x4, dual tanks, cargo light, bucket seats, tilt, cruise, A/C, 400 small block, tach dash, am/fm, and rally wheels. Truck was in rough shape, but i grabbed some parts off it. The 31x10.5 tires look almost new. I don't spend alot of time in this section, but thought i should share with you.
I will have a few other pics and questions in the WIW section. Enjoy.

Re: My junkyard crawl...

judging from the door panels, it was a '77. If the stripes on the cab molding are yellow, that's a dead giveaway. Looks like you made quite a haul there.

The cab corner moldings have a yellow stripe. (pictured) Would that make it a 77 for sure? The body didn't have any trim, but had been painted before. Thanks for the info.

Re: My junkyard crawl...

Yeah. The yellow stripe is '77 only. '77 is the first year for the large door panels, and last year for lowback seats, too. I am pretty sure those woodgrain inserts in the door panels are '77 only as well.

Re: My junkyard crawl...

It was really just '77. My '74 has black stripes, just like the rest of the moldings. The emblems on the corner have a yellow background and a black bowtie, but the stripes are black.
