couple changes to my 1500hd

thought I'd share a couple pictures, got my lift and new wheels and tires and tow mirrors installed. Still need to re gear it but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out

Thanks Keith. 7" Bds suspension 3" Body lift and 37" toyos 20x10 Ion wheels

I really dont like body lifts but I think it turned out pretty will with the gap guards and running boards to hide the frame. I think I should have gone with 38" tires but I guess the 37's will do for now.

Re: couple changes to my 1500hd

The negative offset on the wheels will eat the front wheel bearings, ALL OEM wheels are positive offset for this reason.

The truck looks good.

What are your thoughts on the towing mirrors? I've seen people install towing mirrors on the NNBS but have received mixed emotions.

Extreme shaking and distortion related to the shaking.

Re: couple changes to my 1500hd

Mine are aftermarket w/signals and they are great, no shaking at all. Still need to level them and a little tough adjusting to the smaller convex mirror.

The ride is pretty good, not really any different than stock. Not sure how it tows yet, I dont do a whole lot of towing with this truck but I should have a chance to pick up my blazer with it sometime this week.

thought I'd update. Truck tows just fine with the lift, I've had a few trucks behind it and its been great. I still havent geared it yet but it doesnt do too bad with the 3:73s. I'll have to get some gears in it before camping season starts.
