scotts hot rod vs porterbuilt on the front

Im trying to compare the 2 kits.
scotts is bolt in and comes with a rack and pinion setup.

porterbuilt is the famous drop member.

Why would I go with one versus the other.

Lets assume this will be on a autox c-10.

I know both are board members so im not trying to start a pissing match. I've done biz with scotts and they are great to work with. nate has taught me a ton through the posts on this forum.

I'd contact each Vendor and discuss with them what you want to do.

no limit, ride tech and the roadster shop make bolt in front kits also and all of them auto cross.

It just may depend what you are wanting to do in your specific situation.

I would use either if i had the cash,Only things different i see is nates you gotta cut a notch in the frame weld in a boxing brace for the rack.And scotts you just bolt it all in no cutting or welding.Things to look at are like ball joints do they run off the shelf ones or something special.

Porterbuilt also has the complete bolt-in option. I agree.... Talk to the manufacturers & see what best fits your needs.

Porterbuilt's Extreme version requires the notch for the rack.
The Mild and Touring versions do not.

We also offer kits that are 100% bolt-in, that require ZERO cutting of the frame... and are always coming up with different variations to meet the ever growing needs of the market.

I agree. It's tough as a manufacturer to have a "comparison" discussion without coming off as sour. If you have any specific questions regarding our product, ask away. If you would like a detailed version, go ahead and give us a call.

I think the hard truth is that nowadays, every option is going to probably be light years ahead of what was available 10 years ago; so you probably can't go wrong either way. I know that Nate puts a lot of effort in making sure his product is top notch as well as we do. In the end though, they are 2 completely different designs and you'll want to decide what suits you the best.
