Hey Joe,... get under your truck and cut those rear u-bolts off.
There can be dangerous scrubline issues with those. Oh yeah,... COOL truck!

Re: Lowered 73-87 Short Beds
My '74 is about 6/8. I can't take the credit for the drop, as Scoti did it when it was his DD. I drive it to work a couple times a week, and it rides really well, though.

Re: Lowered 73-87 Short Beds
Here's mine, it's a 4/4 with shackles/hangers out back and up front is 2.5" spindles and 1 coil cut off the factory springs. Tires are 275/60/15 all around. I wanted to retain a little rake and it turned out good I think.

I really dig your truck Jonboy..would you or Scoti be able to recall what spindle/spring combo and rear setup you used and the staggered tire sizes in front and rear? That thing sits perfect..exactly the stance I'm going for with my '82.. |

Fronts were 15x6.5" Van Ralleys & 215/70-15 BFG's. Rears were 15x8" Truck Ralleys & 255/70-15 BFG's. Jonboy indicated it "rides really well". It did.... on smooth pavement. Not so much on the much more common asphalt patched roads. It definitely needed more suspension travel clearance as it bottomed out front & rear.

Re: Lowered 73-87 Short Beds
Mine is flipped rear, and like a 4" front drop. 20s with 255/40R20 and 295/40R20s now. I think my springs are weak because the rear flip really lowered it a lot. Lol
